A gallery wall in your Boulevard Coast living room or dining room is a great way to showcase your personality and artistic skills. All you need is an idea, materials, and some existing photos or art in your possession. Here’s a simple guide on how you can create your very own gallery wall.

Get Your Photos and Art Together

Gather all the photos and art you want for your gallery wall. The frame could be virtually anything, as is the art medium. Try a mix of illustrations, paintings, photos, wall hangings, and artwork. Conceptualize how you want it to look and what ties them all together.

    What’s Your Desired Gallery Layout?

Map out the layout on the floor first and see what it looks like. Rearrange it as you like until you’re satisfied. To avoid holes in the wall, you can cut and trace the templates, then label them accordingly. Go with a focal point and work outwards.

    Begin Posting and Hanging

When you’re happy with the arrangement, it’s time for the manual work of posting and hanging. This is easily the most tedious and time-consuming part, but it’s rewarding nonetheless. Start with the central point and work outwards while keeping everything aligned.

    Add Lighting or Complementary Objects

Does your gallery wall need more flair? You can add small shelves and decorative objects to enhance the overall picture. Some good items include mirrors, a clock, or a thing that you really like. If possible, add some lighting such as LED strips or small overhead lights to show it off.

Refine and Tweak Until You’re Satisfied

Your very own gallery wall is nearly complete. Take a moment- step back and examine it. Keep in mind that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Also, it’s meant to evolve over time, so don’t be afraid to add a new item every now and then.
