Tech advances in surveillance, locks and smoke sensors enable people and communities to be safer than ever. Here are four ways you can use technology for extra protection and safety.

Hire a Trusted Protective Services Agency Online

If you’re a VIP (very important person), hold a position of wealth or power or a CEO of a big company then you’ll want to get a bodyguard or protective services when you’re out and about. One way to do this is by going online and hiring a reputable security service that meets your needs.

    Install Home or Office CCTV

These days it’s easy to have a CCTV, or closed circuit TV installed in your home, as well as your main doors and garage. This provides an extra layer of security, and you’ll be able to see the comings and goings of individuals even when you’re in the office or even halfway across the world.

All you need is the CCTV equipment and the supported app, along with a wifi connection. You can choose to point the camera in high traffic areas, or have it move in a set rotation or degree to cover more.

Add Smart Locks and Door Knobs

Smart door knobs and locks are arguably harder to crack than standard office and home locks. Tech advances allow you to lock your doors even when you’re 10 or 15 minutes away and don’t know if you’ve locked it.

Like CCTV cameras, smart locks are controlled via app and can be installed by following the manufacturer’s directions.

    Attach Smoke Alarms and Sensors

Lastly, you can take precautions and install smoke alarms and similar gadgets around the house. In the event that there’s a fire, you’ll wake up to the sound of ringing and can vacate your office or house in a timely manner. Similar sensors exist for carbon monoxide and other hazardous gasses.
