After eating a large meal with a family celebration or enjoying it at home, sometimes you might not feel as if you have had enough. This leads to problems such as overeating and stomach aches. Below are five tips and tricks to manage your appetite, whether at home in Bloomsbury Residences or outside.

    Eat Fruits and Vegetables

There’s evidence that fiber, commonly found in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and beans whets hunger pangs. These foods have high water content, which makes you feel full, as well as contributing to your daily health needs.

Cool Down Your Appetite with Soup

Want to enjoy something hotter and wake your body up? Have a bowl of broth that can either be hot or cold for your first course. Stick to low-calorie soup, which has high-fiber choices like vegetable-type soups, minestrone, and other options.

    Add Variety to Your Meals

A little variety in our meals is good and healthy, but having too many courses during a meal might cause problems and complications. Adding an extra course to your food can spice up the taste and increase the total calories that you eat.

    Keep Yourself Hydrated

Drinking a glass of water may help lessen your appetite and hunger. Avoid sodas, juices, or other high-calorie drinks. These drinks are full of sugar and may cause weight gain and other problems.

    Slow Down

It usually takes approximately 20 minutes for your brain to get a message that your stomach is full and satisfied. If you eat too quickly, your brain may not be able to catch up with your stomach, which can lead to problems. Eating more slowly makes you less likely to overeat. In addition, you enjoy the flavors of the food you’re eating and can appreciate it more.
