Decluttering before moving is a great idea and is often recommended for those who are looking to start fresh. Here are five tips to eliminate unwanted clutter before scheduling the transition from your old house to a new unit in Hillock Green.

    Start with an Inventory

Having all your things in a manageable medium, like a note app or list, can make the process of decluttering much easier. Download a free app or take stock of your house inventory using your computer- this will be useful later on when you start dividing.

    Divide into Two Piles

Now, go from one room to another and go through all the things you have there. Divide them into two piles- one that you need and are using currently and the one you aren’t or planning to use anytime soon. Do this on your note app or computer.

    Consider Storage Solutions

If you have extra money you can find a local storage service where you can put your things that you don’t want to dispose of yet. Storage solutions offer a convenient way to expand your space to fit your things, albeit at a monthly cost.

    Sell the Items Online

Make some extra cash with the things you don’t want. Put them up in online marketplaces or social media, along with a description and a photo of the item. This is a great way to declutter and get something back in exchange.

Donate to Those Who Need It

Last but not least, you may want to consider donating some of the things to acquaintances or charity before you move to a Hillock Green condo. Your friends or family members can benefit from them, and it gives those used items a second lease on life. Just make sure to clean and wipe data off the electronic devices before handing them over.
