In just one month, our positive reviews doubled, negative feedback fell, and sales spiked 40%—all without buying a single fake testimonial or pestering customers.

    ChatGPT created two variants:

    • An order tracking page prompt: “Your order has arrived! Tell us how it fits—leave feedback for a chance to win a monthly £25 voucher.”

    Gemini researched the UK e-commerce space and suggested optimal timing and channels for the requests:

    • Email two days after delivery (not instantly)
    • SMS reminder for repeat customers
    • “Leave a review” card included in every package, with a QR code

    ChatGPT rewrote my responses to reviews—public and private

    Most store owners ignore reviews or just leave a generic “Thanks!” ChatGPT helped me stand out by crafting custom responses to positive and negative feedback:

    “Rewrite this response to a 2-star review about slow shipping. Apologise, explain the cause, offer a discount, and invite them to try us again. Keep the tone sincere, not defensive.”

    It gave me:
     “Sorry your order took longer than promised, [Name]. Royal Mail strikes set us back, but we’re working on a faster courier option. Here’s a £10 code off your next order—we’d love a second chance to impress you.”

    Gemini also flagged negative themes (size issues, return confusion), so I could update product pages and FAQs, preventing future complaints.

    Gemini and ChatGPT built A/B tests to find what really moves customers

    Using Gemini’s analytics prompts, I set up weekly experiments:

    “Test two versions of the review request email: one with a discount, one with a personal thank-you. Track which earns more reviews and higher star ratings.”

    Results came in clear:

    • Customers responded better to sincere, personal requests than generic incentives
    • Responses were longer and more positive when I used language suggested by ChatGPT (“fellow shoppers” and “real experiences” beat “help us improve”)
    • Negative reviews often flipped to updated 4- or 5-star ratings after a public, warm reply
