The runaway train that is the smart home revolution shows little sign of stopping, with bathrooms now at cutting edge of the newest smart home technologies. Advancement in digital technology has reached showering and bathing, offering unprecedented levels of control and convenience when integrated with your smart devices. Companies such as Elisa Bathrooms are pioneering a massive range of features that are bringing bathrooms alongside other rooms into the digital future.

Smart showers have a number of different uses that allow you to create things such as customised personal shower profiles that remember your optimal temperature, length of the shower and even the jet settings of the water. These features have been really well received by people who have regimented morning regimes as they can roll out of bed and have a consistent showering and bathing experience each morning. Additional features include smart home device compatibility meaning you can programme and start showers using devices such as Amazon Alexa or Hey Google, meaning hands-free access to your bathroom from anywhere within your house.

Smart showers have also been commended for their reduction of wasted water using eco-valve technology, saving valuable water resource both from an environmental point of view and avoiding wasted bills from excess dripping. Furthermore, many smart shower users have commented that choosing the flow and the duration of their shower prior to stepping into the bathroom encourages them to limit the amount of water they use with consistent timing each and every time.

Finally, in addition to smart showers, many companies also offer smart bath technology which has similar applications and technology to smart showers. Smart baths can fill your tub to an exact level and temperature remotely meaning you can run a hot bath on the train on your commute home, or start running one 10 mins before you wake up each morning. Therefore, although in the earlier stages of becoming widespread in the home, there is little doubt that smart showering and smart bathing will be increasing in ubiquity in the years to come.
