Modern security cameras nowadays have about a half dozen features, including 360-degree vision, higher resolution, and the ability to see in the dark, among others. Here’s a quick breakdown of the features and what they do.

    Full-Color Cameras

CCTV footage is now more than just staring into a black-and-white screen. Technology has made security cameras have more detail, including color. With full-color cameras, you should be able to spot information more quickly, including license plate and clothing color, for example.

    IR and Illumination

IR is short for infrared, and illumination is via LED lights attached to the security camera. These things allow CCTVs to be able to ‘see’ even in low light conditions and even when the surroundings are completely dark. Some of these mechanisms are triggered by motion, or when the lens detects movement in the area.

    4K Resolution

The higher the resolution of a security camera, the more detailed the picture it puts out. Reputable security camera sales will usually have them in stock for those who want to see footage and videos clearly. It’s worth noting that there are now 4K cameras that are on par with smart TVs and monitors.

    360-Degree CCTV

In the event that you want to cover a large area for surveillance, then a 360-degree camera feature is for you. 360-degree CCTV can be moved to scan, pan, or view a particular area, such as a main door or business entryway, then back to its original position or where you need the focus to be. When choosing 360-degree CCTVs, opt for a professional camera installation for the best results.

    Built-In Microphone

A camera with built-in microphone allows for interactivity between the user and the subject. Sound can be recorded or transmitted in real time, and a 2-way mic can give users the ability to converse even when they’re somewhere else.
