    Instagram is a place where the competition of having more followers and likes stays constant for days, weeks, months, and years. Even if it is a brand or competitor who has more followers, you will definitely want to try a way out to reach a better position with more number of followers for your brand.

    In recent years, more Instagrammers are engaging with their audience to get more followers and likes and views on the contents posted. If you follow or see a specific person’s activity on Instagram, you will notice that they attract the audience by focusing on what their followers ask for, which could be easily surveyed through the options available on Instagram itself. Sometimes grabbing the attention is through the talent that you have, and sometimes, it is all about the smartness you put into it.

    1. Decide who your competitor is.
    On Instagram, 10 different people could be trying to sell the same content to the same audience. The best profile which has better analytic insights and stronger approach towards the audience wins most of the followers amongst the other profiles. You need to identify that particular page or Instagram profile that is your competition. It would be better and easier for you to gain followers when you start the competition from the basics. Sit calmly and scroll through the profiles; a small stalk would get you better insights anyway!

    2. Check your contenders’ followers.
    Instagram might have millions of users, but the fact of all of them using Instagram is pretty unstable. Non-users or you could term them as ‘Ghost followers’; they just have their profiles, follow certain pages but do not use Instagram. You need to check if your competitor posts regularly, how long have they been on Instagram, if they use hashtags, how many overall posts have they made, and what are their following and follower ratio. This can give you a clear idea about the followers.

    3. Engage with your audience and be responsive.

    Engaging with a specific audience is a must to boost your business. There are many ways through which you can engage with your audience that might be following them, liking or commenting on their views towards your performance. Basically, these gestures suggest that the audiences are being heard and valued. Perhaps their views and judgment are significantly a sign that the product is been consumed by people. Handling the judgment in a polite and considerate way will surely bring fortune for your business in the market.

    4. Comment on your competitors’ contents.

    Just because the opposite party is your competitor, it does not mean that you or the other party cannot help each other grow or make them feel that they are being supported. Like, comment and view their contents so that your page can also gain the attention of active profiles following them.
