Do you enjoy the challenge of creating big ideas and seeing them through to completion? You might enjoy being an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs are often seen as dreamers who have their heads in the clouds and create the big picture to make a living. While this is true in some ways, entrepreneurs need to be able to see clearly and have a vision that will change the world. It is equally important to understand basic business principles and motivate the people around you.

While the more abstract, head-in-the-clouds skills might come from natural talent, aspiring entrepreneurs may want to consider a business degree to sharpen their business and management skills. Learn more about the types of degrees that are best for entrepreneurs at each level. Also, find out what these classes might teach you.

Associate of Science in Business Administration

Some students don’t have much time for hometasks and they pay for papers. But many students make smart financial decisions by getting an Associate of Science in Business Administration. This program provides fundamental business skills that are practical and affordable. The ASBA programs usually take two years and require 60 hours of credit. The ASBA programs typically cover a broad range of business topics, including marketing principles, organizational behavior, and business communications.

Some reports that the average salary for ASBA graduates is $55,000. The average net cost of attendance for public 2-year programs was $10,598 in 2016-2017, the last year for which data is available from the National Center for Education Statistics [NCES].

    Bachelor of Science/Arts Business Administration

Entrepreneurs have two options at the 4-year level: a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of science in business administration. A bachelor of arts degree focuses on business and how it affects society. However, a bachelor’s in science may be more practical and technical. Both types of programs offer courses in leadership, economics, analytics, business problem-solving, and leadership. These programs also give budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to specialize. Students may be able to choose from non-profit management, international business, or entrepreneurial management.

Payscale.com reports that the average annual salary of BBA-holders is $67,000 According to the U.S. Department of Education’s NCES, the average cost of tuition, fees, and room for a 4-year program was $26,593.

    Master of Business Administration

The most popular graduate degree is the Master of Business Administration. MBAs are highly skilled. Master’s programs often allow students to choose from many concentrations, including leadership, innovation, collaboration, and organizational management. Graduate programs in business administration may focus on advanced negotiation, strategic partnership, and social entrepreneurship.

Additionally, these programs often allow future entrepreneurs to meet other business professionals. They have the opportunity to improve their soft skills. These soft skills include communication, empathy, teamwork and creativity. They are the secret drivers of business success. All entrepreneurs require fundamental business skills. However, they must also learn soft skills to succeed.

An MBA can lead to a median annual salary of $87,000. An MBA can cost anywhere from $12,000 to $75,000. U.S. News and World Report have ranked the top MBA schools in the country. The average MBA tuition per annum can range from $12,000 to $75,000.
