Deb is a painting enthusiast who loves to record life through painting for his family and friends. In addition to painting, he is always looking for new art forms to see how to present the flat characters on the screen in a three-dimensional way. This passion drove him to pursue various creative endeavours until he stumbled upon the gift of custom bobbleheads, and he felt that he had found a new art.

The Birth of The Entrepreneurial Idea

Deb’s inspiration to start Figure Bobblehead came from his love for custom bobble head and research on the custom gift market. He interviewed many people around him and launched research on social media. He finally found that while many people like personalized gifts, the market lacks high-quality, detailed customized bobblehead dolls that can capture the true image and personality of the object. He envisioned a brand – Figure Bobblehead, which can not only fill this gap but also bring smiles to people’s faces through a fun and meaningful product.

The brand concept of Figure Bobblehead is simple and powerful: to create bobbleheads that match the personality and personality of the person they represent through artistic techniques. But turning this concept into reality is not easy.

    Overcoming Challenges

Like any entrepreneurial journey, Deb’s was not without its challenges. The first major obstacle he encountered was the production process. Deb knew that to deliver on his commitment to quality; he needed to use a durable material capable of capturing fine details. After experimenting with various materials and techniques, he settled on a high-quality polymer clay for intricate sculpting and long-lasting results.

However, finding skilled craftsmen who could bring his vision to life was another challenge. Deb was determined to create a true work of art, which meant finding people who shared his passion for detail and craftsmanship. He spent months connecting with and vetting artists worldwide, ultimately assembling a small but dedicated team of sculptors who shared his commitment to creating a high-quality product.

Another significant challenge was managing the custom nature of each order. Each bobblehead is a unique piece that must be tailored to the customer’s needs. This requires a dedicated and caring customer service team. Deb initially tried to handle the orders himself so that he could understand every need and problem that the customer might have. Later, as orders increased, he recruited a group of caring customer service teams to conduct centralized training. He held weekly meetings to share how to handle better orders and doll after-sales work.

    Establishing Core Principles

Throughout the process, Deb remained steadfast in his commitment to two core principles: customer orientation and keeping quality first. He understood that customers spend time and money to get a doll with high likeness and good quality. Deb attaches great importance to the trust of customers in his company. He established a strict quality control process to ensure each bobblehead meets the highest standards before shipping.

Deb also made customer feedback the cornerstone of his business. He personally reviewed every piece of feedback and used it to improve the product and customer experience continuously. This dedication to listening to customers and adapting to their needs helped Figure Bobblehead build a loyal customer base, many of whom returned to order more bobbleheads for different occasions.

    Entrepreneurship experience and lessons

When Deb reviewed his entrepreneurial journey, he shared: “First, we must love our business. I founded Figure Bobblehead because of my love for the art of custom puppets, which inspired me to persevere in dealing with the many challenges I faced. Secondly, we must recognize the importance of quality and customer needs.” Indeed, through his personal and team efforts, Deb has made more and more people know how to make custom bobbleheads, making Figure Bobblehead stand out in the crowded market. I believe that in the future, more and more people will choose to use customized gifts as their first choice for gift-giving!
