Disney Sunstone: How to Get the Morning Sunstone Fragment (Sunlit Plateau)
The morning Sunstone Fragment (also called the Dawn Fragment) is found in the Sunlit Plateau. This fragment only appears in the morning, so you’ll need to search for it between roughly 5 AM and 11 AM your local time.
Look on the ground near the wooden ramp leading up to the Vitalys Mines entrance. You’ll see it sparkling there, but only during those morning hours. Outside of that window, the item simply won’t be visible.
How to Get the Midday Sunstone Fragment (Glade of Trust)
With the morning fragment secured, your next stop is the Glade of Trust. The second piece, the Midday Sunstone Fragment, will be waiting for you here, but only when the sun is high in the sky.
For this one, you’ll need to search the Glade between 11 AM and 5 PM in your local time. Look for it sparkling on the grassy bank of the river that runs through the biome, often close to the large central willow tree.
Once you’ve collected the Midday fragment, only the final evening fragment remains.
Disney Sunstone: Where to Find the Evening Sunstone Fragment (Frosted Heights)
Your journey for the Sunstone Fragments concludes in the chilly Frosted Heights, home to the final piece. The Evening Fragment, just like the others, will only show up as the day comes to a close.
To find this last glowing shard, you must explore the Frosted Heights between 5 PM and 10 PM in your local time. The fragment simply won’t have appeared if you look any earlier or later.
Check the snowy ground right beside the frozen river that cuts through the biome. The final fragment will be sparkling there, waiting for you. Grab it, and your collection is complete.
What to Do After You Find All Three Sunstone Fragments
With the secret of time-of-day mechanics now part of your toolkit, frustrating quests are a thing of the past. First, take the three fragments you collected to any Crafting Station and combine them into the Sunstone.
To finish restoring the Sunstone and complete Mother Gothel’s level 10 quest, you’ll craft the Sun’s Core. You will need:
- 1 Sunstone
- 5 Lemon
- 5 Ocean Water
- 5 Oregano
- 5 Mint
