In the competitive era, students are pressured to join coaching classes and dedicate time to self-study. With only 24 hours at hand, balancing school hours, coaching classes, and self-study becomes difficult.

While school and tuition contribute to around 80% of knowledge, the rest is self-study. The best way to manage time is to focus on your classroom and A level economics tuition lectures.

If a student pays attention in these classes, half the time it takes to remember study material is reduced.

Students must start planning their entire day’s schedule to dedicate enough time to self-study. With proper time management, students can study faster and better.

To help manage time effectively, we have compiled top time management strategies. Read on to balance time perfectly.

Best Time Management Strategies to Ace Home Study and Tuition

Whether a student is a class topper or average, staying motivated to study is crucial. Follow these strategies to avoid burnout:

    Manage Your Priorities

With your exams nearing, every task seems important. Students feel overwhelmed when they try to tackle everything at once.

While it might feel like everything seems important, it is rarely the case. Use a simple tool called the Important and Urgent Matrix to help you prioritize your tasks better and avoid time waste due to procrastination.

    Take this example:

You have four tasks and need to finish them in a day.

Task 1: Study for a history exam

Task 2: Submit math homework in two days

Task 3: Attend a birthday party

Task 4: Play with friends in the evening

You can prioritize each task based on its urgency. Task 1 is the most important one; hence, it must be the first priority. Task 2 is important but can be done the next day, so you still have time to plan the homework.

Task 3 is not urgent; hence, you can avoid it. Task 4 is neither important nor requires urgency; hence, you can eliminate it all together.

Dividing your tasks this way will help you plan and prioritize tasks the right way.

    Change Your Study Pattern

With coaching classes, you won’t have enough time to focus on your own study. Given the limited time available for study, you should use it effectively by allocating individual periods to different areas and subjects.

While you’re preparing for a topic, there are a few things you’d be better at, and there are a few things you’d be better at. Try to work more in areas you don’t like rather than spend the same time on each topic or issue.

    Revise Regularly and Smartly

The best strategy is to read your textbooks thoroughly first, make notes and flashcards, and then test yourself on what you have learned.

In addition, topics that are more important for the exam should receive more attention, and those with low marks should be addressed at the end.

You’d hear a lot about how revising your work over a long period of time is more effective than studying the night before an exam. It’s true.

Repeated study helps us strengthen these concepts in our brains when we study a topic repeatedly.

Side note: Always watch yourself when you’re in class, whether it’s school or coaching. If you pay close attention to your classes and practice regularly, your concepts will be stronger, and you’ll have more time to revise them in the future.

    Pay Attention in Classes

It’s very important to pay attention in school. Many students think that they don’t have to because they already learn the same stuff in their coaching class.

But you’ll improve your understanding of concepts by closely examining what the teachers are teaching in class.

Learning a concept in school and then going over it at an alternate time with another teacher will help you to see all sides of the concept, consolidating your understanding.

It also saves you much time to revise at home when you’re paying attention in class and taking good notes.

Divide Your Time Efficiently for Each Subject

Studying a particular subject for 2 to 3 hours at a stretch may become dull and exhausting after a while. Instead, you can study more subjects for a shorter period of time.

To keep your interest intact, collect topics from various fields and assign them dedicated time slots.

Don’t spend too much time on one subject while you forget that you have a few others to catch up with before going to sleep.

    Wrapping Up

It may be difficult to balance studying at home and attending coaching classes, but effective time management strategies can make this a seamless learning experience.

Focusing on tasks and diversifying the learning method in class with close monitoring will free up valuable time for your own study and ensure a deeper understanding of the material.

Keep in mind the key is consistency.

Make it a habit to revise your concepts regularly and conquer your exams with ease. Use these strategies to study smarter, not harder, and gain academic excellence.
