    Nvidia’s Ecosystem Approach: AI, Telecom, and National Security

    After last week’s strong close, Nasdaq futures showed mixed but generally positive momentum amid the ongoing artificial intelligence boom. Investor optimism was fueled by Nvidia’s news, whose shares rose more than 5% at the GTC 2025 conference, lifting the entire tech sector.

    During the conference, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced several new initiatives and revealed partnerships set to shape the industry’s direction. The company projects $500 billion in revenue next year from the Blackwell and Vera Rubin chip generations — not including the Chinese market, from which Nvidia has effectively withdrawn. Huang acknowledged that the company’s share in China is now zero, but suggested a return is inevitable, even if it means sharing a portion of profits with the U.S. government.

    One of the most significant announcements at GTC 2025 was an ambitious program to build seven exaflop supercomputers in the United States. Nvidia will jointly construct two of them with Oracle. The Solstice and Equinox systems, powered by 100,000 Blackwell accelerators, will deliver 2.2 zettaflops of performance for the U.S. Department of Energy. Two additional systems, Mission and Vision, are being developed in partnership with HPE for Los Alamos National Laboratory on the new Vera Rubin platform. The mission will focus on national security, while the Vision will support open science and AI research, aiming to achieve at least twice the current performance levels.

    At the same time, Nvidia is strengthening its position in the telecommunications sector. The company acquired a 2.9% stake in Nokia, valued at $1 billion, which pushed Nokia’s shares up by over 20% and sparked talk of a revival. The partnership provides for the creation of 6G infrastructure, including the development of AI-enhanced base stations and the components supplied for 5G and 6G networks starting in 2027. In addition, T-Mobile will join the project to pilot AI-driven radio communication tests.

    Nvidia is also actively promoting its technologies in the automotive sector. Stellantis, in partnership with Nvidia, Uber, and Foxconn, plans to launch a robotaxi program. The first 5,000 vehicles are expected to arrive in the United States by 2028, equipped with Nvidia’s Drive AGX Hyperion 10 hardware platform and DriveOS software. Together, these initiatives help the company build an integrated ecosystem spanning AI, robotics, telecommunications, and transportation, further strengthening its market dominance, as visible on the heatmap.

    Foxconn, meanwhile, intends to utilise humanoid robots at its Houston factory, which is responsible for assembling Nvidia’s server hardware. The robots run on the Nvidia Isaac platform and are trained using the GR00T N model. The Taiwanese contractor views the move both as a response to workforce shortages and a step forward in strengthening its position in the intelligent manufacturing field in the U.S. market.

    Despite the geopolitical constraints and withdrawal from the Chinese market, Huang emphasizes that the United States faces the greater risk from rising isolationism. He also expressed concern over American immigration policy, noting that nearly half of the leading AI specialists have Chinese origins. The company, he stated, is ready to fund H-1B work visas to sustain America’s edge in technology innovation.

    Amid Nvidia’s explosive growth, Huang continues to dismiss speculation about an AI bubble, arguing that the demand for computing power remains fundamentally strong. He believes that the industry is entering a phase of sustainable expansion, with AI infrastructure becoming a necessity rather than a trend.

    In the long term, Nvidia is transforming from a chip supplier into the key architect of a new tech ecosystem — from data centers and telecoms to robotics and self-driving industries. The main challenge is how long the company can maintain this ecosystem’s cohesion without being hindered by its scale.
