The BRZ sports car is among the most exciting and cost-effective vehicles available today. It emphasises enjoyment behind the wheel. It’s compact, lightweight, and quick. It is entertaining in the sense that only a well-tuned tiny rear-drive coupe can be made possible by features like responsive steering, a standard six-speed manual gearbox, and a low sitting position.

The Subaru BRZ is powered by a 2.4-litre, 228-horsepower flat-four engine, which is more than enough to get the lightweight, two-seater moving quickly. The BRZ’s interior strongly supports the manual gearbox thanks to the smooth, easy-to-use shifter.

The BRZ’s agile response and high levels of cornering grip nearly encourage you to take it to an autocross event. The BRZ isn’t just stylish; it’s also surprisingly functional, with lots of nooks for stowing little items and a rear jump seat big enough to fit kids or a week’s worth of shopping. If you need to store a second pair of sticky tyres for an upcoming autocross event, folding down the rear seat should provide plenty of space.

    What’s the Deal in 2023?

In terms of mechanical updates, Subaru doesn’t make any big modifications to the BRZ for the new model year. Let’s find out more in our Subaru BRZ Review.

Subaru’s BRZ 2023 is available in two distinct “Premium” and “Limited” versions. We recommend upgrading to the Limited trim since it comes standard with more equipment that we find useful, such as blind-spot monitoring and 18-inch aluminium wheels. Subaru’s sports car comes standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, which is well-suited for the vehicle. However, an automatic transmission is available for an additional $1500.

It is also good to discuss in our Subaru BRZ Review the pros and cons as well as its features and specs.

    Pros

    • Handling agility
    • Rapid acceleration
    • Front seats are really comfortable
    • Features of intuitive technology

    Con

    • Ride quality is stiff
    • Modern safety features are missing
    • There is no convertible
    • Child-sized rear seat

    New for 2023

    • There are no significant changes.

    Specifications and Features

    • Seats 4
    • 20-21 City, 27-30 Hwy
    • RWD
    • 228 Horsepower

    Subaru BRZ Interior

    2023 BRZ Interior Quality

The dashboard of the 2023 Subaru BRZ is minimalistic and stylish, with clean lines and a sturdy build that should last for years. However, much of the inside is finished with hard plastic, with just a few soft-touch areas here and there.

2023 BRZ Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

It’s hard to find a more user-friendly infotainment system than the one found in the BRZ. The 8-inch touchscreen is quick to react to commands and has an intuitive layout that makes use of huge icons. It’s easy to adjust the stereo and air conditioning using the conveniently located buttons and knobs on the dashboard.

Full credit should be given to the digital instrument cluster. This screen neatly and clearly depicts the speedometer and tachometer, and it also includes extras like a shift light while in Track mode.

    2023 BRZ Cargo Space

Cargo space in the BRZ is 6.3 cubic feet. The cargo space is minimal, even for sports vehicle standards. Even so, you should be able to fit two suitcases and a few grocery bags in there. The BRZ’s secret weapon is its ability to have the back seats fold down, making it possible to transport goods as large as a set of golf clubs or a spare set of tyres.

    Subaru BRZ Safety Features

These driving aids are considered standard:

    • Rearview camera

Functions that help the driver currently include:

    • Forward and backward collision alert with pedestrian detection
    • Automatic brakes in case of an accident in front
    • Predictive lane-keeping and lane-departure alerts
    • Auto-centering lane assist with variable-speed cruise control
    • Alerts for vehicles crossing in reverse and blind spots
    • Adaptive pivoting headlights
    • High-beam headlights are automatic

    Real-World MPG & Fuel Efficiency

In terms of fuel economy, the EPA reports that the automatic BRZ achieves the greatest results with 25 mpg combined, 21 mpg in the city, and 30 mpg on the highway. If you choose the six-speed manual transmission, you can expect somewhat lower fuel economy estimates of 22 mpg combined, 20 mpg in the city, and 27 mpg on the interstate.

    Service Contracts and Warranties

Subaru’s limited and powertrain warranties are good but not exceptional. The cost also does not include routine maintenance.

    • 3 years/36,000 miles limited warranty.
    • 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
    • Absolutely no cost-free routine servicing

    Conclusion

Subaru continues to be innovative while remaining steadfast to its original values in a market where premium pricing denotes opulence and exclusivity. The 2023 BRZ demonstrates that driving a sports vehicle doesn’t have to break the bank, thanks to its low price and excellent value. When you consider all the 2023 BRZ has to offer and how it exemplifies what Subaru does best—providing amazing capabilities, exciting performance, and a plethora of amenities for a fraction of the cost—you’ll see that this is far from the truth.
