The Original Thunderbolts from Marvel Comics
There are many heroes, many villains, and many gray-area characters in the Marvel Universe. The Thunderbolts are undeniably one of these groups’ more fascinating representatives. The Thunderbolts were first presented as a brand-new superhero team in the pages of Marvel Comics. However, a startling turn of events revealed them to be the Masters of Evil in disguise, commanded by none other than Baron Zemo. This turn of events firmly established the team’s position in Marvel canon and set the tone for the moral complexity of the team’s mission.
Members of the Marvel Thunderbolts
Throughout their history, the Thunderbolts have gone through several lineup changes. Even though Baron Zemo was the first and foremost commander, the group also included such prominent members as:
Songstress Melissa Gold, aka Songbird: She experienced a change and is now regarded as one of the team’s moral compass members, however, she was formerly known as Screaming Mimi.
Moonstone (Karla Sofen): As one would expect from a psychologist-turned-supervillain, she is very manipulative.
“Fixer” (Paul Norbert Ebersol): An expert in the field of technology who has a penchant for making weapons.
Maps by Erik Josten’s Atlas Because of his ability to balloon to vast proportions, he serves as the team’s heft.
The Thunderbolts are a dynamic and unpredictable team because throughout time they have recruited different Marvel characters, both heroes and villains.
