Did you know that you can play video games and be called a professional athlete these days? While not everyone agrees with the definition, our GGBet review shows that the operator will cover both sports and esports as it holds both to be equally challenging, exciting and cater to fairly big fan bases around the world.

But what on earth would make anyone claim that esports is actually sports? Well, there is a lot of evidence to support the claim. First, it really comes down to how much time it would take you to become a professional player. As it turns out, you need to have the same mindsets.

Athletes at the top surely succeed because of their passion, determination, and focus, as well as natural aptitude, but all of those have to be attached to a mindset. The idea that you can make your own luck and determine and define your own future is precisely what drives people to the top.

Put another way, both video gamers and soccer players are determined to win and win they will as long as they stick with those core ideas that you can influence your own fate. But fate has little to do with it. Yes, you may be a more natural fit when playing soccer or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but both require fairly the same level of concentration and hours spent practicing.

To some, one activity may be more enjoyable than another and that is perfectly normal, but both the most successful athletes and esports players will show the same basic grit and drive towards their end-goal.  In other words, dismissing esports athletes is not a good idea, because they have a lot in common with sports athletes.

Put another way, if gamers were to become athletes, they would be well above average by simply applying the same determination.
