Tabletop games can be super fun when you’re having a family night, unplugging, or when the power goes out. These games employ strategic thinking and can sharpen the mind. Here are some tabletop games you can play with your family or friends when it’s game night at the Upperhouse condo.

    UNO

This is a fun card game suitable for 4-5 years and older. Play with as many participants as you want. Each card has a specific color and number, and you get your deck and place one of your cards that has the same color or number onto the pile. Continue playing until one of the players has one card left and says `UNO’!

    Guess Who!

Guess Who! is one of the old classic tabletop games. Play with each other and get ready for some critical thinking! The game’s basis is simple: each player picks a random person in the game, and each player takes turns asking specific questions until one of the players has finally guessed their chosen person.

    Chess

Get the chess board ready by arranging your pawns, knights, and other pieces onto the board. Your mind should be ready to play! Each piece moves in a specific way, making for more methods and strategies. The goal is to trap your opponent’s king by doing a checkmate. A checkmate is where you place the pieces in certain ways so the opponent’s king will not be able to escape no matter what.

    Scrabble

Scrabble is a board-and-tile game in which at least 2 players are needed, and up to 4 people can play. The board is a 225-square board where words are spelled out using tiles while interlocking words, making this more challenging. After players have used their share of letters, they replenish the tiles again by getting more from the letter tile pool each turn.
