What began just over two decades ago as a small establishment in Boedo, a suburb of Buenos Aires, has ended up winning over the American public, especially in South Florida.
In Miami and its surrounding areas, La Birra Bar already has four locations: the first was in North Miami, opened in November 2021; in May of last year, it opened in the Wynwood Art District.
Three months later, in August 2024, La Birra Bar opened in Fort Lauderdale, and in January 2025, the Weston branch was born. All have massive attendance.
La Birra Bar’s North American success is evident, as evidenced by its expansion, but this brand and, especially, its burgers have also won over the most discerning palates on the planet.
The chain, which also has locations in Argentina and Spain, was chosen as one of the seven best burger restaurants in the world in 2025 by the prestigious World’s Best Steak Restaurants ranking.
The ranking placed La Birra Bar ahead of, to name a few internationally renowned restaurants, Burger & Beyond in London; The Gidley in Sydney; and Sip & Guzzle in New York.
“This is news that fills us with joy and pride,” said the founders and owners of La Birra Bar, siblings Daniel, Roxana, and Renzo Cocchia, who emphasized that this is the third consecutive time that World’s Best Steak Restaurants has placed them in the top ten on its list.
The hamburger is a sandwich consisting of a piece of ground and flattened beef, served inside a soft bun. Various ingredients and condiments such as cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and mustard are added to enhance its flavor.
The Cocchias don’t go into detail about their burger recipe, but they do offer a guideline. “We use Argentine beef, we bake our buns daily, and we prepare everything by hand,” they explain.
At La Birra Bar, they think about every detail of the burger. Even the sauces used to season these popular sandwiches are homemade. “We take care of every detail,” they say.
The menu at La Birra Bar in the United States offers thirty burger varieties. One of the tastiest is “The Golden,” made with beef, buns, American cheddar cheese, raw red onion, and homemade mayonnaise.
“We believe that passion can be conveyed through something as simple as a hamburger,” they state. The Cocchia brothers assure us that they have always aimed to “do things right.”
“Our main recipe is to put passion, dedication, love, and a lot of work into what we do,” they stated.
