The Akko ACR Pro 68 is an acrylic keyboard with an expanded 65% layout. The case as mentioned is made out of acrylic, allowing the light to shine through and bring some life to your setup even at night. But that’s not all, so let’s get into the details.
The build
The Akko ACR Pro 68 is a two piece assembly made out of CNC acrylic. It features nice round rubber feet for extra bounce. Should those however not be enough, you can use the attached stick-on acrylic feet which can alter the typing angle of your keyboard in two steps.
In contrast to the first generation of the ACR models, we have gone ahead and designed the case with more space in mind. You can now take proper advantage of the gasket mount, which in this case is done using silicone socks installed onto the plate. These socks are extremely easy for you to take off, allowing you to adjust the position and ultimately the softness of the keyboard
Inside you will find a 1.2mm PCBa (compared to the standard 1.6mm PCBa) and a daughterboard connected via a JST cable to ensure the full potential of the gasket mount.
Is this keyboard worth it?
Definitely! Not only is the typing feel extremely soft, but through the attached EVA case foam, the silicone switch film and poron plate foam you can reach an extremely nice sound profile. You can also adjust it by switching the plates for the additional one attached in the box! The preinstalled Akko CS Crystal switches tie the whole bundle nicely up, not only thanks to their sound but also through their full transparent housing, which allows all of the light to shine through.
Besides that you can look forward to a beautiful decorative brass badge by the arrow cluster, Akko ASA Black On White keycaps and a TPU coiled cable to finish off the premium looks – and all that just for €107,99. If you are interested, please check out the listing here.
