The Super Bowl is the main sporting event of the year in 2025. During the second week of February, in Las Vegas, the two biggest team of the NFL will go head to head, in order to establish the new world champion of American football. The bookmakers have already made clear what franchises are in pole position to win the big game, and we are going to disclose their names in the next lines.

    In it to win it

The NFL, currently in the second month of its 18-weeks tournament, has already entered the thick of the competition. There are a lot of interesting games scheduled for October, November and December, the month in which the best team will gain access to the playoffs. The main title contenders are already known. By accessing one of the many comparison sites found online, such as Oddschecker, it is possible to verify the NFL week-by-week odds with real time updates. On these sites one can find the names of some of the favourite franchises such as the like the Philadelphia Eagles, the San Francisco 49ers or the Detroit Lions for the NFC. In the AFC, on the other hand, the bookmakers are following especially the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs and the strong Buffalo Bills, with some attention going to the Baltimore Ravens and America’s favourite Houston Texans.

    The season so far

Kansas City, who won the last two Super Bowls in a row, starting with the one played in 2023, remembered for an amazing half-time performance by Rihanna, and going on with last year’s one, where they beat a very good San Francisco team, are looking for their three-peat, a third title in a row, which will be a first in NFL history. They won all their games this year and are clearly the team to beat.

San Francisco’s franchise, the losing side last february, is not looking great. They are missing their superstar, Christian McCaffrey, and lost 3 games of the 6 they played. The Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens are sitting with a comfortable record of 4 wins and 2 losses, on schedule to play in the playoffs, while the Detroit Lions seem even better, with 4 wins and just a loss. They played one game less because they already had their resting bye-week.

The Philadelphia Eagles can count on a great roster, but they aren’t playing that well. Their record reads 3 wins and 2 losses, but the franchise isn’t convincing at all, at least for the moment. The Houston Texans are a young team, coached by a great man, DeMeco Ryans, and can count on one of the most amazing quarterbacks in the league: CJ Stroud. They have plenty of talent, but lack some experience in big matches.

Some games to look forward to

In the next three months we have some pretty good games lined up between the teams predicted to win the Super Bowl.

On the 20th of October we have the rematch of last February’s Super Bowl: Chiefs at 49ers. On November 1st we can watch the Texans take over the New York Jets led by legendary quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, in the Big Apple. On November 10th the Philadelphia Eagles visit their bitter rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, while the Chiefs meet the Bills, in Buffalo, on the 17th of November, in a very big game in the AFC landscape. On Thanksgiving, the Lions will play at home, against the Chicago Bears and their very young and talented QB, Caleb Williams.

Conclusion: who will be crowned in Las Vegas?

By the beginning of December, we will know plenty about these fierce competitors, determined to lift a trophy in Las Vegas. Of course, the Super Bowl will feature just the best of the best: the number one team in the AFC against the top of the class in the NFC, so the majority of these franchises will be sitting on their couch by then.

Should the season end today, the big game would feature the Chiefs and the Minnesota Vikings. However, the odds tell another story and suggest that the NFC will have another leader come February.
