Having good security is an absolute must in every home. New technologies and innovations have paved the way for better peace of mind, including security camera systems, smart locks, video doorbells, and alarms. Here are several must-have security systems you can buy and install today.

    IP Camera

An IP Camera is a versatile surveillance system that’s capable of capturing the comings and goings of the people in your home. You can install it in common traffic areas, such as the front door, garage, driveway, backyard, or hallway, and monitor the feed from a computer or a mobile device.

Most security camera systems have capabilities that allow them to ‘see’ in the dark, or collect footage so you can replay the videos later on. CCTV cameras serve as a deterrent against possible intruders and burglars with just their presence.

    Smart Lock

Traditional locks can be easily opened with common tools or equipment and a determined individual. Smart locks are upgraded versions that are improved in every which way. What’s more, these items are convenient for the family as they won’t need to bring a key or wait for the person who has it to come home.

    Smart Bulbs

Although not a security device or gadget per se, smart bulbs serve a security function by having smart characteristics, namely the ability to be turned on and off at a certain time, or activated even when you’re not at home. You can install a smart bulb outdoors to make possible intruders think there’s someone home.

    Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Detector

Having a smoke detector in key areas, such as the kitchen and garage is always good to have. Security and safety go hand in hand, and you’ll want devices that can tell you if the air is not breathable, or if there’s smoke in the kitchen.
