Final Fantasy XIV boasts over 21 different classes to choose from, with each providing a unique playstyle and class fantasy in many combat situations. Players can master all of these in just one FFXIV account since the game has no job restrictions for one character. From the many tanks, healers and DPS jobs available, it can be difficult to level every single combat class in the game up to max level. Here, wWe’ will talk about some of the best methods to level up quickly and how to reach the endgame as soon as possible.ASAP

    Leveling Your First Job

In FFXIV, the story is the most important aspect of the game, with many players giving lauding its narrative critical acclaim. When starting out the game, it is highly advisedable that you go through the Main Story Questline, as this will grant your first job the quickest method of leveling up. Each quest in the FFXIV MSQ will always give more than experience to progress quickly. Not only that but much of account progression is based on how far you are into the MSQ you are. The MSQ also provides you with a decent amount of Gil, which saves you the need to buy FFXIV Gil until you start doing Savage Raids in the current expansion.

Activities like dungeons, raids, FATES and even entire game regions are directly tied to your MSQ progress, so make sure to focus your leveling process through the storyline. When starting out, just sit back and enjoy the storyline.

If you’re ever shy of one level for an MSQ quest, a quick dungeon run nearest to your level should reward you with enough experience to reach the next level and continue on with your progression.

    Leveling Alternate Jobs

Once you’re done with all the different expansion MSQs, you still have other Jobs that aren’t leveled yet. For this, there are other methods for leveling up alts. While waiting for the next round of Duty Roulettes to be available, try to get some XP boosting items in your character. You have food that gives 3% more experience, the Brand New Ring that boosts gains by 30% within the first 30 levels. and

If you’re starting a new job at level 1, your best source for early levels is are the Guildhests. These are like mini roulettes that provide a tutorial on the game’s mechanics, like AoEs, invulnerability phases, and party dynamics.

Your primary means of leveling alts after reaching level 20 are your Duty Roulettes. Roulettes are a matchmade activity where you queue up for a random dungeon, raid, Trial, Alliance Raid, and even certain MSQ dungeons.  There will always be one for each activity and these are fairly easy to complete.

When choosing Roulettes, always pick the following in each order:

    • • Duty Roulette: Leveling
    • • Duty Roulette: Trials
    • • Duty Roulette: Normal Raids
    • • Duty Roulette: Alliance Raids
    • • Duty Roulette: Main Scenario

The Main Scenario roulette always rewards the highest amount of experience for the length of the activity. This will always bring you to either Castrum Meridianum, The Praetorium or Ultima Weapon. Do this last, as the other roulettes will give scaling experience rewards, meaning that you are more likely to get one or two levels from these before completing a Main Scenario mission.

The next activity to participate in when leveling is the Daily Challenge mode. In this activity, you will play the Frontlines PvP game mode. While some players may be averse to PvP, you will still earn the same amount of XP and Gil even if you lose the match. The Daily Challenge also gives scaleding rewards based on your current level, so always run this once per day.

    Leveling After Completing Roulettes

Since the roulettes only reward their XP once per day, you may still be looking for other sources to keep leveling with. There are still a good number of XP sources that aren’t usually matchmade.

Your first source of early levels is the Palace of the Dead. When If you’re starting out at level 1 and you’v have already completed a Guildhest, this Deep Dungeon is a great way to earn massive chunks of experience as the first 10 floors are easy to clear. This is also repeatable, so farm this early on. However, as you start reaching levels 10-20, this activity will not be as lucrative later on.

Next, you have Society Quests (formerly known as Beast Tribes), which are short quests that provide XP for either combat, gathering, or crafting XP depending on the Allied Society you’re questing for. Make sure to do these while leveling, as they also have Society-exclusive mounts for reaching maximum reputation with them.

If you reach Heavensward, you can try doing some Clan Hunts, which is an activity where you kill certain enemies in the open world, much like a bounty hunt system. Simply talk to the Clan Hunt vendor and choose a Mark to track and kill. Once you turn in the bounty, you should get a nice chunk of Gil and XP. From Stormblood onwards, there will be Hunts in each major city, so take advantage of these.

Heaven-on-High is another great Deep Dungeon to use after reaching level 60, as it uses the same in-game leveling system as Palace of the Dead but offers an even higher XP reward than PotD.

After reaching level 71, completing Skirmishes on the Bozjan Southern Front is a great way to level after completing all your dailies. This activity is an open zone that has its own unique FATEs called Skirmishes that will frequently spawn. There are also world boss events called Critical Engagements that reward even more experience.

From level 80 onwards, the recently added Eureka Orthos is your last step for leveling up to 90 or even 100 if you are persistent enough. This is Endwalker’s iteration of a Deep Dungeon, so you should know what to expect in terms of its progression systems and other rewards besides experience.

There are many avenues to earning XP in FFXIV aside from the standard Duty Roulettes. Should you reach max level with every single physical or magic Jobs, the game rewards you with the highly prized Arbiter of War / Arbiter of Magic titles that signify your mastery over all classes.
